Claim: The Igorot Stone Kingdom is located in Banaue, Ifugao
Rating: FALSE
As fact-checked by Bambo Radyo Baguio, the tourist attraction Igorot Stone Kingdom is not located in Banaue, Ifugao. Literally far from it, as the newest tourist attraction is located in Longlong Road, Baguio City. That is 221.5 kilometers away or a normal 6-hour 30 minute ride away.

The screen capture shows a comment section thread in which a user, “Gwyneth”, claims that the Igorot Stone Kingdom is located in Banaue and thus ruins Banaue’s natural beauty. When another user corrected them stating that the tourist site is in Baguio, they further claim that Baguio is a part of Banaue because it is still part of Benguet.
This is false. Banaue is part of the province of Ifugao, not Benguet.
Why we fact-checked this? This only proves that the Philippines is facing an educational crisis as even basic geography is being debated. Furthermore, the comment was posted on a video showing the current situation in Banaue after he habagat or the southwesterly which caused floods and landslides in the area.
Most Baguio residents are indeed often asked by tourists while they are in the city about how many meters away is the Banaue Rice Terraces.
