The Facts: The president finally confessed to not finishing his special diploma in economics at the University of Asia & the Pacific during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) and National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) in Malacañang.

While addressing the NGCP president and CEO Anthony L. Almeda, he stated that they were former classmates and they both didn’t finish their degrees.
Why we fact-checked this: The president’s educational background has long been filled with lies and deception.
His Senate profile stated that he attended Wharton School of Business in 1979 to pursue a Master of Business Administration after earning a Special Diploma in Social Studies from Oxford University in England between 1975 and 1978. Sources said that the President merely got a unique diploma.
