THE E-Governance Baguio In My Pocket (BIMP) online payment system was formally launched on Wednesday, November 16.

The BIMP e-payment system allows and covers payments for real property tax, business tax, and other fees, including arrival fees at the city market.

According to Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong, the BIMP platform provider Information Technology Business Solutions (ITBS) Corporation has been tapped to also provide access to payments of fines for traffic violations and of utility bills in coordination with the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), the Baguio Water District (BWD) and the Benguet Electric Cooperative Inc (BENECO).

Magalong also said that the Baguio City Council will pen an ordinance to institutionalize the BIMP system.

The BIMP payment system will have the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) as its service provider.

BIMP is a government-sponsored and run collection of applications that aims to promote an e-government ecosystem and provide an all-in-one digital platform to provide key services to the people.
