TWO of Baguio’s public parks are set to open again to public patronage on September 1 after lengthy rehabilitation efforts.
The two parks are the Post Office Park at the top of Session Road, and the Pool of Pines in front of The Mansion and adjoining Wright Park.
According to Rhenan Diwas, head of the City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO), both parks are set to reopen on September 1st.
Both projects were undertaken under the initiative of Mayor Benjamin Magalong, and funded with assistance from Resorts World Philippines Cultural Heritage Foundation Inc. and Bloomberry Cultural Foundation Inc.
According to Diwas, in addition to being open to general public use, the parks will also showcase the creative side of the Baguio community.
“These parks are more than just scenic landscapes. We aspire for them to become vibrant hubs, promoting social interaction and community cohesion. We eagerly welcome people from all walks of life, as well as local talents, to shine and showcase their creativity, enriching our city’s cultural tapestry,” Diwas said.
