IN 2016, he came to Baguio to endorse Mar Roxas for president and Leni Robredo for vice president. It was my first time to meet this simple, charismatic president. It was also my first time running as a city councilor.
He spoke about his childhood when their family used to come up to Baguio. He reminisced enjoying the fine crisp air and the smell of pine trees as soon as he opened the windows of his room. He prefers keeping the good memories of their vacation in Baguio with his parents and siblings.
I have full respect for our 15th Philippine president. His no wang wang and no counterflow for VIPs have made an impact – it shows how simple and humble he is.
PNoy’s sister said he doesn’t have to answer all the negative publicity thrown against him because he can still sleep peacefully, which means, his conscience is clear. Let history prove them wrong.
Only the good die painlessly. PNoy died peacefully in his sleep. What a good way to die!
PNoy’s slogans “Daang Matuwid” and “Walang mahirap kung walang korupt” are also the sentiments of most Filipinos.
He will surely be missed, but these slogans will help us move on to save our country.
