NEARLT two decades after the murder of five Lepanto Consolidated Mining Corp. (LCMC) employees and the theft of P13 million worth of gold bullion, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has arrested two brothers who were wanted for the crimes in Compostela, Davao de Oro.

Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., chief of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera, identified the suspects as Danny Domyong Nabulay, 43, and Rimando Domyong, 46, natives of Mankayan.

Nabulay, a Top Most Wanted Person charged with robbery with multiple homicide, was nabbed in Barangay Pantukan, while Domyong, facing the same charges, was nabbed in Barangay Tagdangua in Compostela.

The two were wanted for being among the six individuals who allegedly conducted the heist in September of 2003, which led to the murder of five LCMC employees who were transporting the P12.3 million of gold bullion.

The brothers were arrested by the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU)-Cordillera, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Davao de Oro, and Pantukan Municipal Police Station (MPS).
