THE Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) has served some 506 standing warrants of arrest against individuals in the city over six months in Baguio City, according to police data.
BCPO City Director Police Col. Glen Lonogan stated that of the arrested wanted persons, nine were regional level wanted individuals, 29 were city level wanted persons, four were provincial level wanted persons, eight were municipal level wanted persons and 121 were station level wanted individuals.
The BCPO also arrested some 335 other individuals across the six months.
More than a fifth of the arrested were drug-related cases, caught in the 119 anti-drug operations conducted by the BCPO.
Some 114 drug personalities were arrested, and P1.7m worth of drugs were seized by the BCPO.
79 operations were conducted against firearms in the city as well, leading to the confiscation of four firearms and the surrender of 75 more. Four individuals were arrested for violations of the Revised Firearms Law.
20 individuals were also arrested in line with the anti-gambling law.
