DEPARTMENT of Education (DepEd) officials joined delegates of the Royal Thai Embassy Manila in a visit to Benguet for the turnover of donations to Gov. Bado Dangwa Agro-Industrial School in Kapangan.
The school is currently headed by Head Teacher V Marcelo Otinguey, who earlier in the year received the 2021 Princess Maha Chakri Awards (PMCA) for his outstanding achievements in basic education and social work with the youths of Benguet.
Delegates of the Royal Thai Embassy Manila, headed by Mr. Thawat Sumitmor, the Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., accompanied by First Secretary Aditat Panupong and Second Secretary Witsarut Piyavongsomboon, turned over a donation of water tanks for the use of the school.
Additionally, Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company (CPF) and the Royal Thai Embassy have also provided other donations to the school.
DepEd International Cooperation Office (ICO) Director Margarita Consolacion Ballesteros, DepEd-CAR Regional Director Estela L. Cariño, Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Benguet City Gloria Buya-ao, and Regional and Division personnel also hosted a welcome dinner for the delegates after Otinguey led them on a tour of the school and discussed his programs and projects.
“We have gone beyond people to people and country to country,” Ballesteros said.
