THE Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) has formed seven teams of personnel to oversee the conduct of the BCPO’s personnel on the field in the line of duty.

According to BCPO Operations Chief Lt. Col. Domingo Gambican, the seven teams will be comprised of four personnel from the BCPO and will be deployed in various parts of the city to oversee operations along the city’s different stations, border and quarantine checkpoints.

Gambican said that the establishment of the seven teams is part of an effort to avoid laxity in the implementation of the city’s various health and safety protocols.

Presently, some 170 personnel from the BCPO are deployed in 10 different quarantine checkpoints in the city in addition to patrolmen and traffic personnel.

Gambican claims that the said teams will be present to improve the performance of the city’s uniformed personnel by ensuring that those who are unable to perform their duties and responsibilities properly are sanctioned appropriately.

The establishment of the supervision teams is pursuant to orders from BCPO City Director Police Col. Glen Lonogan and Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong to ensure proper implementation of safety protocols in the city.
