Claim: The government is giving incentives to those who received defective COVID vaccines
Rating: FALSE
There have been a series of chain messages sent and forwarded to various individuals and groups claiming that there are several rewards and incentives given to those who are vaccinated with defective vaccines.
The text reads:
“As an effort to disposed the millions of vacs that are not effective against the Omicron and will expire on July, the government has offered the following incentives:
1) P100K to those who died or become permanently disabled due to the vaccine
2) A certificate of honor as Hero of the Pandemic signed by Duque”
Among the conditions set in the message for those who will be given incentives included having “perfect health during the vaccination” which meant not having colds at that time, a blood pressure of 120/80, sugar level was below 90, and exercise regularly four times a week, among others.
This is false as there are no claims or official announcements from the government about settling or paying those who claim to have received defective doses of vaccines.
DOH also denies these claims and urges the public to be mindful of the fake messages such as these spreading to the public because it causes fear and prevents people from waiting to get vaccinated.
DOH states that all vaccines have been proven safe and effective.
