The Claim: Robredo seeks coalition gov’t with CPP/NPA/NDF
Rating: False
The Facts: This tweet by presidential candidate Ping Lacson (https://twitter.com/iampinglacson/status/1500325771755225092) was in response to an article claiming that Robredo’s camp paid for attendance to the estimated 47,000 attendee campaign rally in Cavite. It also suggests that Robredo is looking to establish a coalition government with the CPP-NPA-NDF.
This is false.
The article being responded to (https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/…/boying-remulla-claims…) not only doesn’t mention any such plans for a coalition government, but Robredo has not made such a declaration.
Robredo’s platform only includes the resumption of the stalled peace talks with the CPP-NPA-NDF, which ceased in 2017 (https://www.rappler.com/…/robredo-eyes-localized-peace…/)
There is no record of Robredo ever moving to form a coalition government with the communist insurgency elements of the country.
