The Claim: Jillian Robredo heckling was due to impoliteness, blocking
Rating: FALSE
This response video from the person who heckled Jillian Robredo in the Baguio City Public Market claims that the heckling was warranted due to rudeness from supporters who initiated contact and told him to vote for Leni. (https://www.facebook.com/cliff.lewis.9480/posts/551844736438101)
However, this video of the incident at the 0:49 second mark clearly shows the man in question was able to pass through the crowd, leave, and come back at the 1:05 mark and shouted at the Robredo supporters. (https://twitter.com/micheIIejoyce/status/1519183560975953920)
This video also shows that the group policed itself to leave space for other market-goers, and shows individuals going through and around the crowd as they moved through the market. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Maw6tjufg80)
Not only did the group around Jillian Robredo have permission to pass through the market, they were also visible in the video only spending no more than 30 seconds in front of each stall, even spreading out to leave space for passersby. In fact, the man who shouted himself was easily able to pass through the crowd as seen in the video.
The lady in the video at the 1:05 mark who confronted the man, turns out to be lawyer Kay Balajadia. As the man came back to shout some more, Ms. Balajadia was visibly and audibly calm in attempting to defuse the situation, as opposed to the man’s insistent claim that “dinuro-duro siya.”
The heckler also acknowledged his being an Igorot at the end of his video.
