Claim: Aika Robredo admitted through a tweet that she was the woman in a sex video.
Rating: FALSE
The Facts: A circulating screenshot on Twitter that came from @ilda_talks shows a tweet from Aika Robredo saying “I would like to testify in the HOR. It was me in the sex video.” followed by the hashtag #EveryWoman.
In her now-deleted tweet, Ilda said, “Aika Robredo acknowledged on Sept 2016 at 11:50 am, six years ago, even before BBM decided to run for President, that she was in a sex video.”
Aika is the subject of the recent fake and malicious video that has been circulating which claims that Aika Robredo is involved. (https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/…/online-impunity-assault…)
This claim is false because it was not a confession from Aika regarding her fake malicious video.
The tweet was a part of the #EveryWoman campaign which showed support against shaming tactics and allegations that were being thrown at Senator Leila de Lima in 2016. (https://www.cosmo.ph/…/everywoman-self-incrimination…)
The campaign mimics the scene from the Netflix series “Sex Education” in which multiple female students from Moordale Secondary School claimed that the malicious picture circulating their campus was theirs to protect the identity of their schoolmate. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcEIAWQZZAA)
@ilda_talk, the Twitter handle of a woman who contributes to the pro-Duterte opinion page, Get Real Philippines, deleted her tweet but questioned Aika for deleting her 2016 tweet.
Aika’s supporters answered that it was to guard herself against malicious muckrakers like @ilda_talk.
Later in her tweet, @ilda_talk admitted that the sex video of Aika is non-existent, which destroys her allegation that Aika admitted to it.
