TWENTY- SIX businesses so far have responded to the call of the local government and the Baguio Tourism Council (BTC) to provide perks and benefits to vaccinated customers in order to drum up greater participation in the city’s COVID-19 vaccination program.
As of July 2, among the establishments that have agreed to provide discounts and various perks to vaccinated clients, include Swiss Baker; Nail House; Tiongsan La Trinidad; Tiongsan Campo Sioco; Tiongsan Notre Dame; Chowking; Zark’s Burger; David Salon; Chili’s; The SM Store; DC; Auntie Anne’s; Artwork; Mesa; Jollibee; McDonald’s; Macao Imperial Tea; Koomi; Manam; The Travel Club; Kureji; Potato Corner; Buffalo’s Wings N’ Things;Tiger Sugar; Mango Tree Cafe; and Mang Inasal.
In order to avail of the discounts and various other benefits that the participating establishments have chosen to provide vaccinated customers, the customer must produce their COVID-19 vaccination card or vaccination QR code issued by the city.
“The BTC would like to thank business establishments in the city who have taken the initiative to provide perks and discounts for fully vaccinated individuals. This is aligned with the efforts of the LGU to promote a positive response to being vaccinated,” said the BTC in a statement.
Meanwhile, in the face of continuing hesitancy and reluctance to take the vaccine, Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong and the BTC are continuing to call for establishments in the city to provide similar discounts and benefits to entice more people to take the free vaccines provided.
The BTC is also calling on all its members to participate in the incentive program.
