TWENTY-SIX companies, both local and overseas, have signified their intention to join the upcoming Kalayaan job fair at the Bishop Carlito Cenzon Sports Center of the St. Louis University (SLU) along Bonifacio St. on Sunday, June 12.
According to the City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) as well as the Department of Labor and Employment- Cordillera (DOLE-CAR), 20 local companies and six overseas employment companies will be joining the fair.
Pre-registration for the jobseekers is ongoing at the offices of PESO and the DOLE-CAR up to the day before the job fair itself.
The partial list of participating local companies include Saint Louis University (SLU); Baguio Country Club (BCC); Tipco Estates Corporation; Fifth Discipline Packaging Paper Corporation; Fc Laranang; Super Value Inc.; Xissco; Summit Bank/ Benguet Prime; Texas Instruments; Jomarcann; Mary Grace; Department of Social Welfare and Development; Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific; SM Supermalls and Full Suite; and Aumni.
The city PESO has yet to reveal what companies comprise the six overseas participants.
Government agencies will also be present at the job fair to provide services to job seekers as well, including the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA); Department of Trade and Industry (DTI); Social Security System (SSS); Philippine Health Insurance Corporation; Pag-Ibig; Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA); National Bureau of Investigation (NBI); Philippine National Police (PNP); DOLE; Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR); Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH); and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
