Hundreds of running enthusiasts and health aficionados are expected to answer the starting gun on October 19 for the staging of the Benguet State University (BSU) Alumni Fun Run 2024.

Spearheaded by the BSU Alumni Association, Inc. (BSUAAI) together with Team Malaya, the fun run will cover five race distances that will start and end at the BSU oval.

The event aims to fund programs for BSU athletes or sports initiatives; health and fitness programs in La Trinidad; and mental wellness programs for various communities in Benguet and the Cordillera.

Organizers added the event is open to all runners, health enthusiasts, and mental health advocates who are willing to traverse the vast and rich landscape of La Trinidad through an inclusive and immersive experience of Igorot culture.

Organizers also encourage the community to join in the simple celebrations through the coming together of diverse communities in an Igorot cultural show.

Registration for the 21K, 10K, 5K, 3K, and 1.5K has already started as the organizers are offering huge discounts for early registrants.

Included in the registration fee for the 21K and 10K are a race bib with a timing chip, a full sublimation singlet, a full sublimation finisher’s shirt, a finisher’s medal, and stubs for the raffle draw, and snacks.

A race bib with a timing chip, singlet, finisher’s medal, stubs for the raffle, and snacks will be included in the registration for the 5K and 3K event categories, while runners in the 1.5K distance event will get a race bib with a timing chip, a full sublimation singlet, and stubs for the raffle and snacks.

Payments may be made thru bank deposit under BDO Account No: 000940466619 or thru G-Cash 09459743218.
