CLAIM: President BBM Visited the Aquino Mausoleum at the Manila Memorial Park
RATING: FALSE
A video posted by the YouTube channel PINAY NEWS INSIDER shows an altered image of President Bongbong Marcos sitting in front of the Aquino tombs in their mausoleum as if to show respect.
The original image dates back to November of 2022, showing the Aquino Mausoleum and flowers sent by President BBM in honor of All Souls day. But the President was not seen in the photo and did not visit the tombs himself.
WHY WE FACT-CHECKED THIS? Though this claim was debunked by Rappler, the video and the altered image in the video continue to circulate online. If their intention is to make BBM repentant, the lie only bolstered his image of a liar.
