Claim: Imee Marcos fabricated her graduation from four different schools.
Rating: TRUE
A graphic from the page ‘Stupid Ironies’ claims that senator Maria Imelda Josefa Remedios “Imee” Romualdez Marcos fake (sic) her educational credentials from four schools.
https://www.facebook.com/stupidironies/posts/158011063425697
The four schools mentioned in the graphic were in Imee’s curriculum vitae, for the Philippine Congress.

These claims have already been fact-checked by credible media sources:
UP Law: UP Executive Vice President Teodoro Herbosa told Rappler in an e-mail that Marcos has no record of graduation nor honors with the UP Registrar’s office.
https://www.rappler.com/…/222831-imee-marcos-record-up…/
Princeton University: “Our records do not show that Ms. Marcos was awarded a degree,” said Michael Hotchkiss, Princeton University Deputy Spokesperson.
https://www.cnnphilippines.com/…/Imee-Marcos-Princeton…
Asian Institute of Management: AIM never offered MA/MBA courses as opposed to the claim of Imee that she finished an MA in Management and Business Administration in the said institute.

Santa Catalina School (SCS) in Monterey, California: According to John Aimé, the SCS assistant head of school, Marcos indeed studied at the Santa Catalina School for a “brief period” in 1972. But she did not graduate. This means she also cannot be the valedictorian if she did not graduate. https://www.rappler.com/…/226319-imee-marcos-class…/
Despite all her lies, Imee Marcos never denied her falsifications and asks what is there to apologize about.

Why we fact-checked this: Although these claims aren’t new, the claims were revived and are being used by the senator without repercussions. These delusions of Imee Marcos give her a sense of contentment that she does not deserve.
