Claim: Angat Buhay Foundation intends to overthrow Marcos presidency
Rating: FALSE
This tweet from a Twitter account posing as outgoing VP Leni Robredo’s planned NGO Angat Buhay claims that the purpose of the Angat Buhay NGO is to overthrow the incoming Marcos presidency.
https://twitter.com/NewGovOrgABF/status/1526067075726200832
This is False.
The Angat Buhay NGO is patterned after the OVP’s previous Angat Buhay project and is a volunteer network, not a revolutionary organization.
https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/…/robredo-to-raise…
The stated actual purpose of the NGO is to address the needs of families in the distant and poor communities in the country through volunteer efforts.

The account with the handle ‘@NewGovOrgABF’ has been posing as a part of the Angat Buhay Foundation and disseminating fake news.
The account has been continuously tweeting fake news by sharing graphics with fake quotes labeled with “Office of the Vice President” along with Robredo’s name and face.
The caption in its bio says: “An organization designed to overthrow Marcos Administration and introduce a New Government.”
While Robredo has not formally conceded the presidential race to Marcos, she has not called for any revolutionary action or an ouster of his upcoming presidency.
