AIR TAXI

One of the Baguio Day celebration highlights is the demo by Kyxz Mendiola, Filipino innovator, developer and inventor of the Philippines’ first electric flying car EMAV (Star 8 Green Tech’s Electric Manned Aerial Vehicle). Two of the city counselors tested flying the e-car to the delight of audiences at the Melvin Jones Grandstand, Burnham Park. On July 19, 2021, Mendiola broke the World Record for the Farthest Flight on a Hoverboard travelling a total distance of 2,894 meters, breaking the previous record held by French man Frankie Zapata, who flew a total 2,200 meters.
