THE Police Regional Office – Cordillera (PROCOR) welcomed on Monday Police Brigadier General Ronald Oliver Lee as its new regional director.
A native of La Union, Benguet, Lee took over from outgoing PROCOR chief PBGen R’win Pagkalinawan, who left the post following a Philippine National Police (PNP) shakeup of positions that saw some 22 high-ranking officials moved to new posts.
Lee is the former head of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), a National Operations Support Unit in support of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Lee, in his taking of the reins, urged the PROCOR to continue the region’s campaigns against illegal drugs and efforts to catch criminal individuals in groups in compliance with the region’s rules and procedures.
He also urged the PROCOR and the general populace to aid in the efforts to weed out scalawags and unfit individuals in the police service.
“Team PROCor, let us continue to impose discipline among our staff, putting emphasis on those who are new in the service and weed out the scalawags, incompetent and incorrigible and reward the good performers and those who do good deeds,” Lee said.
Lee graduated as a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Tanglaw-Diwa” Class of 1992.
